IRON, MANGANESE AND HYDROGEN SULFIDE REMOVAL FILTER SYSTEMS

They can be removed from the water using a filter medium that promotes the reaction between the contaminants and the oxygen present in the water. This reaction forms an insoluble precipitate which can be further filtered by the filter medium. The medium acts as a catalyst, which means that although it promotes the reaction it is not consumed in the process, allowing the filter medium a long life.The iron and manganese dissolved in the water are responsible for staining sanitary ware, clothing and other surfaces in which it contacts , becoming a drawback to the user.

Conditions of use:

• Maximum iron concentration: 5 mg / l
• Maximum concentration of manganese: 1 mg / l
• Minimal dissolved oxygen: 20% of Fe + Mn concentration
• Recommended pH: 7 for iron and 7,8 for manganese
• Maximum free chlorine: 0,5 mg / l
